A megamerger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation "would produce greater efficiencies in the music business, which theoretically would benefit ticket buyers and artists" argues a chief executive of Ticketmaster in a recent TIME article. Independent concert promoters and fans fear that the merger would surely shut out competition and lead to higher ticket prices.

Thank you, Conan. Pearl Jam brung it with "Got Some" on Conan's debut show on NBC's Tonight Show. "Got Some" is off PJ's new release Backspacer named for the sea turtle the band sponsored in Conservation International's Great Turtle Race this April (Backspacer the Turtle won BTW). Eddie's vocals were a bit low, but "Got Some" really moved.
